Neverending Voyage
The pirates of Voyage aren't exactly what you would picture as a pirate crew. While a few of them are good examples of pirates, particularly Mayday and Lara, together they make a strange team. Read more about their chemistry below!
Finnegan is a strong leader, though perhaps not as well versed in the pirate world as he should be to lead a pirate crew. He sees the good in everyone, where he should probably be untrusting. Where other leaders are firm and feared, Finn is neither. He will make it known when he has a problem, but he will rarely settle disputes among his crew. He prefers to let them handle their own problems, believing that that is the only way the crew will learn to grow together. While the others harbor a great deal of respect for Finnegan, they also realize his lack of firm leadership and sometimes try to defy him.
Even though Crixus came later, he proved himself a worthy firstmate within the first few days. While he is certainly firmer than Finn, he didn't wish to take Finn's captain position. Finn turns to Crixus for advice, and Crixus tends to be the one that handles the disputes among the crew. He has little qualms with striking fear into the hearts of others, and does so nearly everyday. While he respects Finn, he lacks fear of Finn and knows he could easily take the ship if he wanted to. He never would, because he knows the passion Finn has for Voyage.
Garnet stays out of the politics of the ship, being little more than their cook. While he is helpful in finding things as well, he prefers to spend his time in the brilliant kitchen Finn built for him. Admittedly, the kitchen is far grander than one would expect to find aboard a pirate ship. Garnet is meticulous with his pride in cooking, though he also at times scares the others. He makes it clear he harbors no affection for any of them, except maybe Bunny, and would have no problem poisoning the entire crew.
Zenith used to be Finns right hand, but he realized he wasn't cut out for the politics. Instead, he relinquished his position to Crixus; but became the head guard. He is the muscle of the ship, and the one who strikes fear into the hearts of their enemies. In truth, Zenith is a gentle soul; but he enjoys his job because it helps him release pent up aggression.
The Crew Members
Mayday is considered one of the most valuable members aboard Voyage. She harbors a great deal of knowledge about pirate life, and is eager to share what she knows. While she has a mate aboard another ship, Mayday has proven her loyalty to Finnegan and Voyage over and over. She truly cares about all of those aboard the ship, and does her best to take care of everyone to the best of her ability
Lara, like Mayday, is valuable because of her knowledge on being a pirate. Unlike Mayday, though, she is rarely helpful. Bitter and angry about not being with her family and instead being aboard a ship of mostly amateurs, she is often rude and unpleasant for the others to be around. The main reason she is still a member is because Finn feels sorry for her.
Bunny was the first of the female crew members. Hardly cut out to be a pirate, she started off as the "sympathy" factor; which helped her, Zenith and Finn eat. Now she helps Garnet in the kitchens.
Greyjoy is part of the guard led by Zenith. Like Lara, he is bitter in his position. He is bitter because he wanted to be the right hand, and that honor instead went to Crixus. While Greyjoy is loyal to Voyage he feels as if he has been done wrong.
Fever Crumb, often referred to as Fever, is another of the guard. He is a trusted member of the crew in all aspects, though, and enjoys his role.
